The date is set at June 26th. That is my birthday and as a gift to myself I want to be able to drive this car for the first time. I almost have everything I need and am in the process of getting the car back together as final assembly.
Last night I was able to loom my engine harness and get it installed along with welding my v-bands on the headers and installing those. Other than some intake piping and two hoses this is ALL that will be in the engine bay. This thing is getting close!
Tonight I am welding my front bumper support on and will hopefully have my radiator back so I can mount it final. I CAN'T WAIT

89 and thank you. It is a coupe. Blue on blue with manual windows. I have put many hours into this thing.

By coupe I'm guessing you mean notchback, sorry I haven't seen any of the other build stories on this.
It looks awesome, and one of the (i believe) best compliments you can give someone on a project is the one I'm about to give you:
You may have put many, many hours into it - and it sure as hell shows.

I would be a happy man if Oppo were like 80% build threads for a week.

Yes its a notch. In Mustang lingo it is either a coupe, notch, or trunk car lol.

Here is the outside, I don't have these wheels as they are a friends.
I appreciate the kind words.

Are you putting that fat of a tire on it?
this thing is going to be a MONSTER.
planning on demolishing everyone at the drag strip with it?
All the way down in SC across from my parents (i live in michigan) is a guy who owns one of these and has a much older style Chevy 350. he has made so much money at the track destroying everyone that he had to get a Tax ID for the car LOL

Eventually I will have a 28" tall tire when I need it. I just have some pony wheels from a 1994-95 car on it now to get me going. I am always looking for wheels though.
I have an aluminum block sitting nearby to build up so that will be yet another 100lb out of the car.
